Chocolate Chip Cookies Reimagined with Vegan Protein
These are not your grandma’s double-choc-chip-cookies (remember the ones that made you feel sleepy and bloated after the gluten and carb overdose?), these are the high-protein, vegan variety that will keep you feeling satisfied for longer without the costly side-effects. What’s more, preparing these high-protein vegan chocolate chip cookies takes less time than a trip to buy a commercial batch. Containing vanilla protein powder sweetened with Stevia, the lower sugar content will ensure your insulin is kept within healthy levels and you feel satisfied for longer. Coconut oil helps speed up your metabolism and keep your brain alert while cacao powder and cacao nibs provide flavonoid benefits for the heart (anything from increasing good cholesterol (HDL), lowering blood pressure, improving vascular function) (also creating that inexplicable feeling of happiness that comes with eating chocolate in its rawest form).
